The ship was tossing on the restless ocean
And I was sinking in the swirling haze
The law was looking hard for Jack The Ripper
While I collected all my yesterdays


And I was plain going out of my mind
Left behind by fashion, trends and time
Flitting in and out of rhyme
I'm swimming, I'm swimming, I'm swimming
With the school of fish


Ran into the Ancient Mariner
Who said I'm a wee bit out of step with time
We also met the unfortunate sea snake
Who said, ' I'll be okay, don't pay me any mind'


And we were all going out of our heads
Something swirling in that space instead
Flitting in and out of mind
I'm drifting I'm drifting I'm drifting
With the school of fish


We tossed and turned on epic journeys
Books and rum to comfort ourselves
Sometimes we'd befriend the acrobatic dolphins
Familiar sharks and giant whales


And we all took our turns at the wheel
Looking out at night skies surreal
Flitting in out of time
We're lifting, we're lifting, we’re lifting
With the school of fish
